Cause of Dengue Fever
Dengue is a viral disease, acute, caused by dengue virus, transmitted by the mosquito Aedes aegypti mosquito, or Aedes albopictus which breed in standing water in containers and unused objects. Dengue is caused by four serotypes of dengue virus : DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3 or DEN-4, closely related serotypes of the genus Flavivirus , family Flaviviridae . This disease is more common in children, adolescents and young adults. It is characterized by fever of sudden onset that lasts 3 to 7 days accompanied by headache , joints and muscles. A variety of potentially deadly dengue fever is dengue presents with severe bleeding or fluid loss or severe organ damage that can lead to death. It's the same disease with different manifestations, predominantly transmitted by the tropical and subtropical areas ( Africa , northern Australia , South America , Central America and Mexico ), although since the first decade of the century XXI epidemic cases have been reported elsewhere in North America and Europe .
